Color codes

As you may have noticed we use different papers for our models. So where do these papers come from and what they do look like?

Most of the models are printed on- or cut out- of the beautiful two-sided Curious Metallics boards produced by Arjo Wiggins Fine Papers Ltd. These papers have very nice looking surface with a slightly shiny metallic overcoat.

The same quality shimmer surface is also for Stardream Gold paper made by Italian manufacturer Gruppo Cordenons. Stardream is a two-sided coated paper finely coated with pearlescent pigments.

The main characteristic of these papers is the particular multicolor surface, that gives unusual pearlescent, metallic, iridescent or shimmering effects that change chromatic dominant depending to the observation angle. All the papers are acid free, manufactured with ECF pulp sourced from sustainable managed forests.

Over the years producers and distributors have changed several times the names for the same range of paper so we decided to stick to our very own names which will remain the same and won’t confuse the customers. Here is our translation to manufacturers’ codes:
